Combining pioneering spirit with visionary ideas
To this day, we still adhere to the philosophy of our company founder, Dr. Theodor Stiebel: to develop and manufacture innovative products to the highest quality standards. When Dr. Theodor Stiebel invented and produced the coil immersion heater in his backyard workshop in Berlin in 1924, he opened the first chapter of STIEBEL ELTRON’s successful corporate history. Dr. Theodor Stiebel subsequently expanded into larger production premises. These were completely destroyed during World War II. As a result, in 1944, Dr. Theodor Stiebel moved the company to Holzminden in Lower Saxony, Germany. Our head office is still located here to this day.
